The sting of betrayal, like a knife in the back,
Leaves scars that never fully heal or slack.

The world was a cold and bitter place, full of sharp edges and hidden dangers. She had learned this the hard way, through countless betrayals and broken promises. Everywhere she turned, there were people with knives in their hands, waiting to strike when she least expected it.
She had always been trusting, open-hearted and kind. But that had only made her more vulnerable to those who would use her for their own gain. They would come to her with smiles on their faces, promising friendship and loyalty. And then, just when she thought she could trust them, they would plunge the knife into her back.
It was a lonely existence, living in a world full of people who couldn’t be trusted. She tried to keep her guard up, to protect herself from the constant threat of betrayal. But it was exhausting, and sometimes she just wanted to let her guard down, to believe that someone could be relied upon.
But time and time again, she was proven wrong. It seemed like the only way to survive in this world was to become like them, to hold a knife of her own and strike before she could be struck. But she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She was too kind-hearted, too full of love and compassion. And so, she remained a knife stand, waiting for the next blow to fall.
She wondered if it would ever be different. If there was anyone out there who could be trusted, who would stand by her through thick and thin. But as she looked around at the twisted, broken world around her, she began to fear that there was no hope. That she was destined to be forever alone, forever betrayed, forever a knife stand.

Betrayal’s blade is sharp and sly,
Leaves behind a soul to die.
Trust is but a fleeting dream,
In this world of ruthless schemes
