Nosy vultures soar,
Intruding on new parents’ plight,
Cawing judgments, sharp.
Perched on their high branch,
Spying with piercing gazes,
Their beaks drip disdain.
Parental choices,
Poked and prodded, ridiculed,
Feathers ruffled, crushed.
Unwanted counsel,
Unasked-for wisdom they spew,
Presumptuous crows.
Oh, sanctimonious flock,
Mocking, preening, peering close,
Leave parents in peace.
